Independent Coffee Shops

First job of the New Year. I actually photographed a variety of places and the most important thing I learnt was that when dealing with more corporate establishments is don’t bother asking permission if you can get the shot in much the same way a tourist can!

You will end of asking someone who just works there and does not want to risk saying “of course go ahead.” Instead they will talk to a manager who will then give you a number to call at some head office in another city etc, etc. All this for a simple shot of a coffee cup or something.

This image is from a small place where the owner also works and he was a star, he helped create the still life and even the dog on the chair helped out.
